• What is Hillsome.com? Hillsome.com is a dedicated e-marketplace based in Uttarakhand. We specialize in bringing 100% authentic, natural Pahadi products, traditional textiles, and handmade crafts from the heart of the Himalayas directly to your home.

• What is the REAP (Gramothhan) project partnership? Hillsome.com is an official partner of the Gramothhan (REAP) project, which is an initiative of the Department of Rural Development, Govt. of Uttarakhand. We work specifically in the Dehradun and Tehri districts to provide a digital platform for rural entrepreneurs, ensuring they get a fair price for their incredible work.

2. Product Quality & Authenticity

• Are your food products truly organic? Yes! Our food products are sourced from marginal farmers in high-altitude regions who follow traditional, chemical-free farming methods. While we work towards formal certifications for all our small farmers, we guarantee that our products are 100% natural and “Pahadi” in origin.

• Why does my handmade product look slightly different from the photo? That is the beauty of handmade! Since our textiles and handicrafts are crafted by individual artisans and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), no two pieces are identical. These minor variations are a mark of true craftsmanship and authenticity.

3. Impact & Supporting Locals

• How does my purchase help Uttarakhand? When you buy from us, you are cutting out middlemen. A significant portion of your payment goes directly to the local farmers, women-led SHGs, and artisans in the Dehradun and Tehri regions. This helps prevent distress migration from the hills and sustains traditional Himalayan crafts.

• Do you work with NGOs and Self-Help Groups? Absolutely. We are a community-first platform. We partner with various NGOs and SHGs across Uttarakhand to ensure that even the most remote creators have a voice and a market.

4. Shipping & Delivery

• How long does it take for my order to arrive? Since our products are often sourced directly from remote mountain villages, it typically takes 2–3 days to process and 5–10 business days for delivery, depending on your location. We appreciate your patience in supporting rural logistics!

• Do you ship internationally? Currently, we ship across India. However, we are working on our international shipping module to share the spirit of the Himalayas with the rest of the world very soon.

• Is it safe to shop on Hillsome.com? Yes. Our website uses industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your data. As a government-partnered project, we maintain the highest standards of transparency and security for all our customers.

• मेरा हस्तनिर्मित (Handmade) उत्पाद फोटो से थोड़ा अलग क्यों दिख रहा है? यही हस्तशिल्प की खूबसूरती है! हमारे उत्पाद स्थानीय कारीगरों और स्वयं सहायता समूहों (SHGs) द्वारा हाथों से बनाए जाते हैं, इसलिए कोई भी दो उत्पाद बिल्कुल एक जैसे नहीं होते। यह मामूली अंतर ही उनकी असलियत और हस्तकला की पहचान है।

• ऑर्डर पहुँचने में कितना समय लगता है? चूंकि हमारे उत्पाद सीधे दूरदराज के पहाड़ी गांवों से मंगवाए जाते हैं, इसलिए ऑर्डर तैयार करने में 2-3 दिन और आप तक पहुँचने में 5-10 कार्य दिवस लग सकते हैं। ग्रामीण रसद (logistics) को समर्थन देने के लिए हम आपके धैर्य की सराहना करते हैं।
